Canton, Ohio – May 19, 2009 – The Canton Advertising Federation, a professional organization dedicated to promoting creativity and excellence in the local advertising community, recognized three individuals as recipients of its Thrive Under 35 Award. The honorees were recognized at an event following the Federation’s annual meeting on May 14.

The Thrive Under 35 Awards celebrate extraordinary members under the age of 35 who demonstrate fresh thinking, community mindedness and excellence in advertising. This year’s honorees included two professionals and one student. They are:

• Jessica Bennett, PR and Marketing Manager for the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce (Account Services Award). Jessica manages media relations, marketing, advertising and events for the Chamber. A member of the Canton Advertising Federation for four years, she’s previously received the Outstanding New Member and Mousetrap awards for her contributions to the Federation. She currently serves as the Federation’s president.

• Cheryl Henderson, Senior Art Director at Innis Maggiore (Creative Award). Cheryl’s work has received critical acclaim, including best of show in the local ADDY competition, which recognizes outstanding creativity in advertising. Her community involvement includes serving as the United Way campaign coordinator for Innis Maggiore and previously participating in a music ministry founded by her family.

• Beau Miller, Kent State University Student and Part-time Account Manager at Crowl, Montgomery & Clark (Student Award). Beau is a senior at Kent State University where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in advertising. After completing an internship at Crowl, Montgomery & Clark, he was promoted to part-time account manager. He volunteers with local charities including the Make a Wish Foundation, Haven of Rest Ministries and his church.
