FOUR STEPS TO ADDY SUCCESS

Step 1: Register

Register your ADDY entries online using the AAF’s secure website by 4 p.m. on Friday, January 13. Read the ADDY rules and categories for professionals and students on the AAF website.

Step 2: Pay

Pay online for your ADDY entries using PayPal or a credit card. Usual and customary charges apply. You may also pay with a check when you drop off your entry.

Step 3: Drop off your entries

Bring your entries to the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Community Room between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, January 13. Make sure to include TWO copies of each entry, as well as one electronic version on disk in JPEG form for use during the awards presentation.

Step 4: Receive your rewards!

Mark your calendars for The Sound of ADDYS awards extravaganza to be held Thursday, February 23. Watch for more details!

ADDY Entry Details

 

Dates to Know

Early Bird Call for Entries: Friday, December 9. Bring your early entries to Malone University Office of University Relations. The office is located on the third floor in Founders Hall which is located at the north end of campus on 25th Street NW. Turn on Yale Avenue to park. Enter the building from the outdoor (covered) stair well. See campus map with red star for location.

Call for Entries: Friday, January 13. Bring your entries to the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Community Room between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, January 13. The Chamber is located on the corner of Market and 3rd Street North in downtown Canton.

Late entries, with a $10 per entry additional charge, will be accepted until Friday, January 20, at 5 p.m. at the Malone University Office of University Relations. Please make arrangements before dropping off late entries.

How to Enter

First, Read the ADDY rules and categories for professionals and students on the AAF website. You’ll find a check list that will help make sure you have everything before turning in your entries.

Second, after you’ve figured out what you’re entering and in what categories, register your ADDY entries online using the AAF’s secure website. You will need to create a login, fill out the contact information and then complete the entry form.

Third, assemble your entries as indicated in the rules and categories document. Note: As listed on the checklist, you’ll need to bring a copy of your signed manifest form (list of all your entries). After you place your entry in an envelope, adhere a copy of the entry form to the front of the envelope and place a copy inside the envelope. Using clear plastic envelopes rather than manila envelopes may save you time assembling your entries. Place the entry form in the bag so we can see it. Make sure to affix a copy of the small entry label to the actual entry. See page 21 of the Rules & Categories PDF for more information.

Fourth, bring your entries to the Call for Entry site listed above.

Make sure to include TWO copies of each entry as well as a JPEG that can be used in the awards presentation.

Subtract $10 for early entries.
Add $10 for late entries.

About the ADDY Awards

Each year, the Canton Advertising Federation selects and honors the best in local advertising.

The Canton Ad Fed ADDY® Awards are the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The annual ADDY® Award competition recognizes outstanding work in print and collateral materials; broadcast, audiovisual and computer-generated communications; interactive media and mixed media campaigns.

The competition is open to both members and non-members, as well as local students. Judging is typically held each January. All entries must have had their first use or appearance in the previous year. Winners are announced at a festive award dinner event in February.
